Second-degree burns have the highest prevalence and often occur in household environment. The healing process can be accelerated by traditional medicine. One of many plants known to wound-healing abilities is Binahong plant (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis). gel preparation chosen because benefits it provide. gelling agents used were Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose Hydroxyethyl Cellulose. combination these was both are capable producing preparations with good stability during storage. Therefore, optimization carried out obtain optimum formula that met requirements. observed responses organoleptic, pH, spreadability, adhesion, viscosity, homogeneity. data obtained optimized Simplex Lattice Design program Expert software version 13.0.0. results verification test compared for their significance T-test a 95% confidence level. leaves Steenis) tested using one-way ANOVA post hoc. showed leaf extract composition ratio 0.5% HPMC 4.5% HEC. valid values pH response, spreadability according SLD predictions. stable cycling test.
